Film Scoring

RavenSeal

Music is an invaluable ingredient of Post-Production for film and video - from feature films to short subjects. It is also an integral part of multimedia presentations and video games. Like Sound Design or even visual effects, music adds tremendous impact to the picture and how the story comes alive. Dark Tower offers original music composition featuring the creative talents of Plutonian Shore.

Formed in 1996 by composers Sean Mulligan and Dark Tower Owner/Producer Michael Dawson, this collaborative entity incorporates a variety of diverse musical styles, textures, and rhythms ideal for the film score medium.

Their versatility and dramatic instincts are defined by the fact that they can develop and exploit many different moods for as many different scenes; exotic and ancient music, progressive rock and electronic music, beautiful pastorales, as well as rugged, pulsating action music. They are perhaps best known for creating music that explores the subtleties of the human mind, and music which depicts the fantastic and far-out. More importantly however, their music can help bring the story across the screen. Plutonian Shore are able to harness the full capacities of Dark Tower's facilities, including the impressive selection of modern and vintage MIDI instruments and equipment, as prominently featured in Studio B (Sound Design/Mastering/MIDI Production Suite).

Since the founding of their musical partnership, the pair have released more than several albums, including Limited Series Promos, Special Edition Promos, and the full-length album Arcana. Released in June of 1998, Arcana received critical acclaim and retains a 4 ½ star review rating (out of a possible 5 stars) on Amazon.com. The album was produced at Dark Tower, and was specially selected to be featured in the Roland VS Users Music Showcase, a unique joint Internet promotion launched by Roland Corporation U.S. and Liquid Audio. In late 1999, Plutonian Shore completed work on the music score to the feature film Scarecrow's Dream (a.k.a. Daddy, Tell Me A Story…), an independently-produced thriller starring John Burgeois, Ho Chow, Al Leong and Victoria Snow. Plutonian Shore have also produced an album of the film's original score.

In May of 2000, they were once again called upon by Roland Corporation to appear in The EM Guide To The Roland VS-880 - Tools For New Times. Published by EM Books and distributed by the Hal Leonard Corporation, the book features Plutonian Shore sharing some recording experiences and tips about Roland VS-series Workstations.

Copies of Plutonian Shore's Arcana and The Dream Gallery - a Dark Tower Special Edition Promo of their music - are both available free through Dark Tower upon request.

Plutonian Shore Promo Packs are also available upon request.
